A new, regular direct flight "Tbilisi-London-Tbilisi" operated by the Georgian air company "Georgian Airways" has been added to the international flights. The presentation of the new flight was attended by the Georgian Prime Minister. Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili expressed hope that direct flights will facilitate deepening the Georgian-British relations, enhancement of contact between the people, development of economy and tourism.
"At the same time, the road infrastructure is being improved, the hotel network and a number of tourist directions are developed in Georgia. Congratulations! I would like to express gratitude to "Georgian Airways" for making this decision. I am hopeful that the flights will continue after the end of the tourist season as well. I am sure that this air company will contribute to development of the Georgian tourism again. Today, under the terms of visa liberalization, the Georgian people are given a unique opportunity to visit EU countries without undergoing painstaking procedures.
The event was attended by the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Georgia, Justin McKenzie Smith.
