Attention! A number of rules and conditions for entering Georgia from abroad have changed
From December 2, 2020
Citizens of Georgia (+ their family members) in case of entering the territory of Georgia from any border:
1) If they are a negative PCR test done in the last 72 hours, they go through self-isolation for 8 days;
2) If they do not present a negative PCR test done in the last 72 hours, they are transferred to self-isolation for 12 days.
For Georgian citizens at the border, a customs epidemiologist fills out Form N9, which will indicate the address of self-isolation and personal data.
Citizens of foreign countries have no right to enter Georgia, except Citizens and / or permanent residents of the following 18 European countries:
1) The so-called Citizens of 5 countries of exchange - Germany, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia - enter only by air, if they fly from or through these 5 countries. If a negative PCR test is presented at the border, they cross the border freely and move smoothly. If they do not have a negative PCR test document, they have the opportunity to take the test at their own expense at Tbilisi Airport, cross the border, arrive at a booked hotel and wait for a response. After a negative response they move freely.
If they do not fly through these 5 countries and enter by air from other countries, then: 1) go into self-isolation when submitting a negative PCR test; 2) If you do not have a negative PCR test go to quarantine.
Before departure, passengers from the mentioned 5 countries fill in a special information form on the StopCov.ge portal.
2) Citizens of the other 13 European countries and / or persons with permanent residence (Spain, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal, Poland, Greece, Romania, Croatia, Sweden, Cyprus, Italy, Iceland, Slovenia) enter Georgia only by air. If the border is a negative result of the PCR test done in the last 72 hours, they go to self-isolation. If they do not have a document for a negative PCR test and do not have the opportunity to take the test at Tbilisi Airport at their own expense, they will be placed in quarantine.
