Georgian Airways was established in 1993 and has served Georgian aviation since then. With modern fleet and well-trained crew, we have been a proud carrier of Georgian flag. We were standing tall during the hard times and never stopped supporting Georgia and Georgian people.  

Sudden drop in flights caused by Covid pandemic hit aviation hard worldwide and unfortunately, Georgian Airways was no exception. Even in these turbulent times we managed to find a solution in order to continue the flights as scheduled and serve our customers faithfully. With the support of some of our largest creditors, Tbilisi City Court satisfied our motion to start the rehabilitation process and by doing so we have avoided the commencement of a bankruptcy process.

Rehabilitation entails a special regime for salvage of an entity in difficult financial state, in cooperation with the creditors and under statutory supervision, by way of adopting and following a special rehabilitation plan. The rehabilitation regime will allows us to continue uninterrupted operation of the company notwithstanding financial difficulties. Mrs. Nato Papiashvili has been appointed as the supervisor of the insolvency proceedings.

We would like to stress that this process will not interfere in any of the planned flights and all flights will take place as scheduled.

Although the flights are not affected, we consider it our duty to inform you that all creditors of the company is allowed to participate in rehabilitation process. This will allow the customers to participate in approving the rehabilitation plan.

Again, the rehabilitation regime will not influence the planned flights. On the contrary, we see this as an excellent opportunity to keep going forward and making even more diverse and interesting offers for our customers.
