Make the flight reservations and provide the following information:

Georgian Airways allows the transportation of dogs and cats both in the passenger cabin and in the hold of the aircraft.
Make sure to arrange your pet’s vaccinations, health certificates, and travel documents well in advance.
Georgian Airways cannot be held responsible if an animal is refused entry into or transit through a country.
Dogs and cats travelling within the European Union must be identified by an electronic chip.
Please notify us at the time of booking or at least 48 hours before departure that you are traveling with your pet.
Georgian Airways accepts dogs and cats under the following conditions:
puppies and kittens – minimum age of 4 months;
must be healthy;
must be kept in a soft bag (PETC ) and leak- proof kennel ( AVIH ) during the entire of the flight (except service animals);
aircraft type and space availability.
We do not accept pregnant animals!
Pets in the passenger cabin ( PETC )
Total weight of the animal and the soft bag must not exceed 8kg/18lbs, the dimensions 55x35x20. We do not provide containers, please bring your own.
Note: Due to COVID-19 pets are accepted to the cabin only in soft bags
The weight of the PETC and the container/soft bag are not included in the free baggage allowance. The charge is 80EUR
Animals in the aircraft hold ( AVIH )
Animals exceeding 8kg/18lbs can be accepted in the aircraft hold only.
From 8 up to 24 kg
From 24 up to 45 kg
The requirements of the container/kennel:
rigid plastic kennel with a metal door suitable for travel by air;
clean, leak and escape proof;
ventilated on three sides;
must have enough space to allow the animal to stand up, move and lie down in a natural manner;
must have absorbent material on the floor;
Copies of valid health documents in English must be attached to the kennel in an envelope.
Georgian Airways may refuse transportation if the above requirements are not met.
Transportation of animals is not included in the free baggage allowance.
Charges for the transportation of animals in the aircraft hold
From 8 up to 24 kg – 150Eur
From 24 up to 45 kg – 190Eur
Georgian Airways will accept only dogs and cats as checked baggage in the aircraft hold.
NOTE: Domestic animals of unusual size, wild animals and rodents must be transported as cargo.
A service animal is a guide dog that accompanies a passenger with reduced mobility DEAF, BLND, ESAN. The animal must be pre-notified.
The passenger must hold a certificate that proves the status of 'service animal'
Service animals are accepted free of charge.
Quantity limit is:
AVIH (aircraft hold) depends on the aircraft type and space availability.
3 kennels can be accepted depending on the weight and a/c type:
a). three kennels 24kg each
b). two kennels 24kg each and one 45 kg.
c) two kennels 45kg each.
However 2 or more animals are allowed in the same container, if they are familiar with each other and do not exceed the allowable weight.
PETC (aircraft cabin)
One animal in the soft bag per passenger is accepted in economy cabin compartment. Total quantity of pets is 5. Animals are not allowed in business cabin compartment.
Georgian Airways accepts expectant mothers in normal health, up to 36 weeks into their pregnancy (i.e. until 4 weeks before expected delivery);
We recommend contacting your doctor, and obtaining a medical certificate before making a reservation.
Acceptance of Passengers with Reduced Mobility depends upon the following factors:
To have sufficient time to make arrangements and inform the departments involved, the booking request must be made 48 hours before departure.
Please note that the WCHR add-on to the ticket has a cost of $50 one way.
In addition to the regular carry-on baggage allowance, a PRM may take a wheelchair, crutches, braces or other mobility aid device free of charge.
No medical clearance or special forms are required for those passengers who only need special assistance in the airport and/or for embarkation/disembarkation.
Passengers being deaf or blind;
Passengers who do not need special assistance during flight, provided the need for a wheelchair is not a result of a medical condition (e.g. need for wheelchair because of old age, comfort, etc.),
Passengers provided the need of a wheelchair is not result of a medical condition, which would qualify the passenger as a MEDA case.
