Georgian Airways resumed flights to Moscow after more than 18 month hiatus.

Georgian Airways resumed flights to Moscow after more than 18 month hiatus. First flight was operated on March 25 at 18:30. Mrs. Ekaterine Sharashenidze, Georgia's Economic Development Minister, Mr. Erosi Kitsmarishvili, Ambassador of Georgia to Russia and Mr. Tamaz Gaiashvili, President of the air company arrived at Tbilisi International Airport personally to outline the importance of the flight.  Restoring air links with Russia will facilitate the further enhancement of commercial ties between two countries -government officials said.

The first plane since the ban left for Moscow with ninety passengers onboard and carried one hundred and forty-five passengers on return flight. The flights will be operated daily at 18:30. Besides Moscow regular flights will be launched to Saint Petersburg and Sochi.

The cheapest one way ticket to Moscow amounts EUR 150 exclusive airport taxes.
