Georgian Airways revealed awardees of the youth contest Aviator. Award ceremony was held at Tbilisi Youth House. The organizers of the contest revealed winners in individual and group projects. Grand Prix went to Lasha Gurgenidze, who was rewarded with a personal computer by Mr. Tamaz Gaiashvili, the Chairman of the air company. The second place was taken by Beka Kobiashvili from Public School # 88. He was awarded 500 Georgian Lari. The third place was taken by George Mazmishvili from Public School # 149, who was rewarded with 300 Georgian Lari.
The Grand Prix for the group project went to the pupils from Public School # 179. They were rewarded with 1000 Georgian Lari. Second place was taken by Akaki and Arkadi Tskvitaias, from Tbilisi Demirell Private College, who were awarded 500 Georgian Lari. Third place was taken by pupils from Khoni Vocational Training School, rewarded with 300 Georgian Lari.
Special awards, assigned by Mr. Koba Subeliani, State Minister of Georgia were granted to Internally Displaced pupils from Tskhinvali and Abkhazia regions.
Special award was granted to George Kochiashvili from Kutaisi Public School # 14, who was rewarded with a remotely controlled flying wing model airplane by Nick Kiknadze, member of jury.
All the contestants were awarded with participation diplomas.
After the award ceremony Georgian Airways organized special lottery for the parents of the contestants. Three free air tickets for Georgian Airways flights to any direct destination were raffled.
Up to 100 contestants from different regions of Georgia participated in the project. The contest involved pupils from Khoni, Tkibuli, Poti, Borjomi, Kareli, Choporta, Gurjaani and Rustavi.
